UPDATE 11/6 11:13 p.m.- With all four precincts reporting, Bedford had 78 percent voter turnout, with 7664 of 9842 registered voters turning out at the polls today.
Bedford winners: Obama, Warren, Tierney, Devaney, Barrett, Gordon, Sullivan, Curtatone, Koutoujian.

UPDATE 11/6 5:30 p.m.- Future voters at Job Lane Elementary School re-elected President Obama in the Lane School election on Tuesday, according to the Job Lane facebook page.
UPDATE 11/6 12:14 p.m.- As of 11:30 a.m., lines at the polls at John Glenn Middle School were not long. Supporters holding signs for Scott Brown outside JGMS said the turnout had been strong all day, but there had been bigger crowds earlier in the morning, suggesting a majority of voters turned out before heading into work.

Scott Brown (R), Elizabeth Warren (D): U.S. Senate
Scott Brown has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate since a January 2010 special election held to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. Brown defeated state Attorney General Martha Coakley with 1,168,107 votes, or 51.9 percent, to her 1,058,682 votes, or 47.1 percent.
John Tierney (D), Richard Tisei (R), Daniel Fishman (L): 6th Congressional District
John Tierney has been the Congressman representing Bedford since 1997. He faces off against Richard Tisei, a member of the Massachusetts legislature for 26 years, most recently as a State Senator. Tisei ran for Lieutenant Governor in 2010, but was defeated by Lt. Gov. Tim Murray. In 2010, Tierney defeated Bill Hudak 57-43 percent.
Ken Gordon (D), Walter Zenkin (R): Mass. House of Representatives 21st Middlesex District
Gordon and Zenkin will vie for the former seat of State Rep. Charlie Murphy who will vacate his seat at the end of this term. Gordon is a Bedford resident, Vice-Chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals and an attorney. Zenkin is a Burlington Selectmen.
Sandi Martinez (R), Michael Barrett (D): Mass. State Senate 3rd Middlesex District
Lexington Democrat Mike Barrett and Chelmsford RepublicanSandi Martinez are facing off in the general election after outlasting several other candidates for the right to fill the seat retiring state Sen. Susan Fargo, D-Lincoln, is leaving behind after eight terms.
Marilyn M. Petitto Devaney (D), Tom Sheff (Unenrolled): Governor's Council 3rd District
Incumbent Marilyn Petitto Devaney, a Watertown Democrat, faces a challenge from independent candidate Thomas Sheff of Newton.

Congratulations to all who participated, supported, and promoted one of our greatest rights of freedom - the election process. Also, congratulations to the winners of those elections this cycle. Thank you to those who work behind the scenes; on the campaigns, the volunteers, the poll workers, the planning & execution teams.......... You know who you are, without all your efforts nothing would be possible. :-)
