Police Log: An Injured Hawk on Ashby Road

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

Saturday, Feb. 16

1:42 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from 8 Winthrop Avenue requesting an officer disperse a group of people who were being loud outside. The responding officer reported he sent the group on their way. 

3:44 a.m.- BPD received a call from the Somerville Police Department requesting assistance in locating a female who could be located at 103 Davis Road. The responding officer checked the residence and was unable to locate the individual in question. Somerville Police later reported the individual had been located.

11:01 a.m.- An officer reported large potholes on Springs Road near the V.A. Medical Center. DPW was notified. 

12:14 p.m.- Police received several calls reporting a dead dog on Great Road between Shawsheen Cemetary and the town line. Police reported the owners were aware.

2:33 p.m.- A caller reported an injured hawk on the property of 80 Ashby Road. The responding officer reported the hawk had been secured in a box, and animal rescue was on their way to pick it up. 

11:44 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a number of trucks driving erratically around Job Lane School. The responding officer reported he checked the area, found one truck and that everything appeared to be in order.
