Why Go: Valerie Anastasio and Tim Harbold, and Benjamin Sears and Bradford Conner will sing Irving Berlin's great songs from the Astaire/Rogers films, Holiday Inn, and Alexander's Ragtime Band; selections from This Is The Army and other songs from World War II, as well.

2. The Concord Players Winter Show

Why Go: Because the show is The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, a wildly comedic, who-done-it romp that pokes fun at show business and the corny thrillers of old Hollywood.

Why Go: It's a chance to see "Dragon King," an underwater fantasy based on ancient Chinese folklore told through the beautiful puppets of the Tanglewood Marionettes.

4. Heartbeat: The Israeli-Palestinian Youth Music Movement
Where/When: First Parish in Concord, 20 Lexington Road, Concord; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23
Why Go: It's a concert and a peace-building workshop to share experiences of growing up amidst the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Bring instruments for the multicultural jam session afterwards.
