Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Welcome to Bedford Patch

Find out who we are, and what we plan to do here in Bedford.

Hello, Bedford!

My name is Chris Gambon and I would like to introduce you to your brand new Bedford Patch.

We want to make life in Bedford easy for you; our goal is to serve as your source for local news and conversation, and as a platform for you to speak your mind about what is going on in Bedford, from what’s moving into that vacant building downtown to what is going on this weekend.

Here's a little background about Patch: In just a few years, Patch has grown to more than 800 websites across the country, including more than 75 in Massachusetts. Each community has its own Local Editor, and we all are supported by a great team in our New York City headquarters.

As the Assistant Editor for Bedford Patch, I already am all over town; I'll make it a point to be visible here in the Bedford community. Whether you see me working on my laptop at a local cafe, tuning in to a selectmen’s meeting or reading in one of Bedford’s beautiful parks, I encourage you to introduce yourself.

Since Patch is designed to have you get involved, you may be wondering exactly how you can get involved. Here are a few suggestions:

Become a Local Voice: Maybe you're an expert gardener, a local business owner with tons of tips, or you want to get your political opinions out there. Bedford residents and business owners can write about whatever you choose on our Local Voices blogging platform. You can blog as often as you'd like

Post events to our calendar: Having a yard sale this weekend? Is your business hosting an open mic night? Are you looking for new members to join your knitting club and you want to let people know when and where you meet? Add it to our events calendar.

Stay up-to-date: Signing up for our daily email newsletter is the best way to stay in touch with Patch. Plus, our breaking news alerts come through when there's something big you'll want to know about.

Add your pictures: Did you take a picture of the beautiful sunset last night over Bedford Center? Have some pictures of your kids during a Bedford High School sporting event? Add them to our Pics & Clips gallery.

Have any questions? Email christopher.gambon@patch.com, or let us know in the comments section below, as it will be below every story on Bedford-MA Patch.

By the way, please note that for getting straight to us in your browser: Bedford-ma.patch.com. Why that MA in there? To distinguish us from other Bedford Patches that got there before us — we’ve already got Patches in Bedford, NY & Bedford, NH.

Again, welcome to Bedford Patch! I’m happy to answer any questions you might have. And remember: this is YOUR site. We look forward to you getting involved!

-Chris Gambon
