Beer Fans Rejoice: Yuengling is Coming Back to Massachusetts

Pennsylvania-based D.G. Yuengling & Co. hasn't sold its beer in Massachusetts for two decades.

You know the dynamic: When friends visit from Pennsylvania — good friends, that is — they bring Yuengling.

That's because the popular regional beer brand hasn't been sold in Massachusetts for two decades.

That will be changing soon. The brewer announced plans to return to the Bay State, according to Banker & Tradesman. Reps from the Pennsylvania-based brewer have been in Massachusetts this week meeting with retailers and distributors, the business journal reported.

The company may even start a brewery here, but that's yet to be determined. One reason the company, which is most famous for its lager, left the state was that when it was smaller it couldn't keep up with demand.
