Bedford Residents Can Get Money for Repairs - No Strings Attached

Apply for home repair grants from the Bedford Affordable Housing trust.

Have a major project at you house, but short on funds – the Bedford Affordable Housing Trust might be able to help.

The trust is awarding grants up to $3,000 for home repairs, with no obligation to repay.

Money can be used for a variety of repairs, including plumbing and electrical work, widow repairs, broken or clogged gutters and much more. See more information here.

The grant process is quick and simple. To be eligible:

  • Homes must be in Bedford and must be your primary residence
  • You must plan to stay in Beford for at least 12 months
  • Your income cannot be more than 80 percent of the Area Median Income for the region
  • Your home’s assessed value must be lower than 120 percent of the median assessed value
  • You must let the Bedford Affordable Housing Trust know before you list your house for sale

Grants are awarded twice a year, with deadlines at the end of October and April.
