Kenneth Alexander Sr., 75, of Bedford, Navy Veteran

Kenneth C. Alexander Sr. of Bedford died on Aug. 14 at the age of 75.

He was born in Boston and served in the U.S. Navy during the 1950s. He worked for Charles River Labs in Wilmington for 40 years and was the manager of the shipping and receiving department, according to an obituary on the Bedford Funeral Home website.

Alexander was the son of the late Kenneth and Ida (Hall) Alexander. He was the husband of Sandra (Phelps) Alexander; father of Deborah Vasquez of South Carolina, David of Methuen, Kenneth Jr. and Arthur of Billerica, Christopher of Merrimack, N.H., and Michael of Bedford; stepfather of Michelle Cunha of Concord, N.H.; and brother of Betty Bernier, Harriet Rochleau, Dorothy Salvato, Edwina Berg and the late Barbara Gerakines. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road in Bedford, on Friday, Aug. 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Graveside service will be held at Shawsheen Cemetery, Shawsheen Road in Bedford, on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m.
