Police: A Skateboarder and a Dead Raccoon

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Sunday, Nov. 11

7:16 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Hartwell Road reporting a hit and run on their mailbox.

9:01 a.m.- An anonymous caller reported construction equipment making a lot of noise near 330 South Road. The responding officer checked the area but could not find anything.

9:32 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a dead raccoon on Washington Street. The Department of Public Works was notified. The reporting person called back later and said she suspected the raccoon had been shot and placed on the hood of a car. The responding officer inspected the scene and reported it appeared the raccoon had fallen out of a tree and landed on the car.

12:49 p.m.- A guest at the DoubleTree Bedford Glen Hotel requested to speak with an officer about harassing posting on the internet. An officer spoke with the reporting party. 

5:36 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Warren Avenue reporting a youth on a skateboard hanging onto the tailgate of a vehicle as it was driving away. The caller said they were concerned and reported the youth had gone down to a group of skateboarders Selfridge Avenue. The responding officer checked the area but did not find the individual.
