Police: A Phantom Intruder

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, Dec. 21

7:51 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a loose dog running around in front of Lane Elementary School.  The responding officer returned the dog to its owner.

8:36 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a red sedan being operated erratically on North Road. The caller reported the vehicle had swerved from over the yellow line to nearly off the road. The responding officer stopped the vehicle on Elm Street and spoke with the operator who stated she had dropped her glasses.

1:18 p.m.- A caller reported a tree down on Crescent Avenue near South Road. The caller was unsure if the branch had brought wires down. DPW was notified to remove the branch.

1:18 p.m.- V.A. Police notified BPD of wires down near 200 Springs Road. The Bedford Fire Department was notified and NStar was also notified. 

2:18 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Curve Street reporting his wife believes there is someone in their basement. The responding officers checked the house with negative results and spoke with the resident.
