Police: A Suspicious Solicitor

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, Dec. 7

8:26 a.m.- A caller reported a tractor trailer unit blocking the road on Great Road near Springs Road. The responding officer checked the area, but reported the tractor trailer had left the area.

12:37 p.m.- A resident of Railroad Avenue reported another resident had hit her while they were in the car. The caller reported the individual was now outside yelling. The responding officer reported there was no assault, and that he spoke with both parties. 

1:08 p.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a resident of Hemlock Lane reported a suspicious white male, in his mid-20s, with a mustache and wearing an orange protective vest was knocking very hard on her front door. When the caller went to the door, the individual was offering tree cutting services. The vehicle he was driving was described as a bronze Chevy with out of state plates. The vehicle was last seen on Page Road heading toward Lexington. Lexington Police were notified.

9:12 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a verbal domestic incident at CVS on Great Road. The caller reported the involved parties left in a vehicle. Officers checked the area, but did not locate the vehicle. 

10:33 p.m.- A resident of Wagon Wheel Drive called to report a suspicious white SUV that had remained stationary on the road for a prolonged period of time. The responding officer reported he spoke with the operator of the vehicle who said he was talking to a friend.
