Police: Erratic Drivers and Suspicious Vehicles

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

9:20 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a resident at the Bedford Motel who was threatening to harm himself. Officers responded, and the individual was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

12:19 p.m.- A caller reported a white Buick stopped for a long time at the stop sign at McMahon Road and Concord Road. The vehicle turned right into the wrong lane, over the double yellow lines. Another caller reported they saw the same vehicle on North Road, heading out of town and that the operator ran a red light on Concord Road at Route 3. The Billerica Police Department was notified.

1:00 p.m.- An employee of Organix Salon reported there was a group of three or four people standing directly in front of the entrance of the salon smoking cigarettes. The employee would like the group to move away from the door so customers didn't have to walk through smoke to get into the salon.

3:57 p.m.- A caller reported a vehicle being operated erratically on South Road turning westbound onto Great Road. The caller reported the vehicle was tailgating him, passed him on the wrong side of the roadway and began tailgating another vehicle heading onto North Road. The responding officer could not get to the vehicle in town.

9:07 p.m.- A resident of Alfred Circle reported a suspicious vehicle had pulled up parked next to several closed businesses, stayed a few minutes and then moved on. The responding officer spoke with a resident of Fayette Road who reported she was looking for her black greyhound that had gotten loose earlier. The reporting person was notified, and the owner of the dog called the police to let them know the dog had been located.
