Police Log: A Late Night Snowmobile Cruise on Brooksbie Road

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Saturday, Feb, 9

12:01 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a jeep got stuck in the snow at Ashby Road and Great Road while attempting to plow the sidewalk. The responding officer spoke with the operator who had got her vehicle unstuck and was going back inside.

3:09 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a snowmobile travelling on Brooksbie Road toward Page Road at a high rate of speed. The responding officer reported he checked the area, but could not locate the individual.

5:59 a.m.- A caller reported a tractor trailer was parked on Dudley Road impeding snow removal operations. The responding officer reported he spoke with the operator who said he was dropping off hay at Huckins Farm and would work out another place to park with the farmer.

12:23 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a woman on Willard Circle shoveling snow from her driveway back onto the road. The responding officer reported no one was home and the amount of snow on the road was miniscule. 

2:55 p.m.- An officer reported he conducted a vehicle stop on Pine Street for towing sleds behind the vehicle. The officer told the operator of the vehicle this was unsafe. 

4:47 p.m.- A resident of Evergreen Avenue reported a car was parked in their driveway that didn't belong to them. The responding officer found the owner of the vehicle and had them remove it.
