Police Log: Hockey Fights

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 20

4:35 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting wires were arcing at the corner of Wiggins Avenue and Alfred Circle. The responding emergency personnel reported there was a small fire in the trees due to the wires rubbing together. NStar was notified.

2:50 p.m.- A marked cruiser was requested to stand by at The Edge Sports Center after a hockey game while the players left the building due to a fight that had happened after a prior game. 

5:14 p.m.- Police received a call from a motorist reporting turkeys in the roadway causing a traffic issue at Wiggins Avenue at Summer Street. The responding officer reported he stood by until the turkeys made their way off the road and into Lexington.
