Police Log: Unruly Turkeys Patrolling Crosby Drive

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Thursday, Jan. 24

6:48 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a vehicle had struck a deer on North Road. DPW was notified.

7:13 a.m.- A caller reported a motor vehicle had struck a deer on North Road. DPW was notified for removal.

9:11 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a car crash without injuries on South Road at Hartford Street.

9:40 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a three car crash on North Road at Pine Hill Road. There were no injuries.

12:19 p.m.- An employee of the Bedford Motel reported a guest at the motel did not have enough money to continue to stay and did not want to leave. The responding officer reported the individual agreed to leave the motel.

12:44 p.m.- A caller reported a wild turkey was attacking the wheels on cars near iRobot at 14 Crosby Drive. The animal control officer spoke with the property owner who reported he would be contacting a wildlife removal company.

12:51 p.m.- An employee of Bedford Charter reported a school bus was stuck in the cul-de-sac on Wheeler Drive due to a truck parked in the way. The driver could not turn the bus around. The responding officer reported the truck was moved as he arrived.

11:06 p.m.- Police received a call reporting loud rumbling and someone screaming in the area of 14 Page Place. The caller said it sounded like someone watching a movie, but they were unsure. The responding officer checked the area and reported all was quiet.
