Police: Lost Cell Phones and Long Grocery Runs

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Thursday, Nov. 8

5:38 a.m.- A caller reported wires down in the area of Great Road and Pine Street. The responding officer notified NSTAR.

6:43 a.m.- An individual came into the Bedford Police Department to return a cell phone they had found in Wilson Park. An officer was later able to successfully return the phone to its owner. 

11:09 a.m.- An officer received a request from Lane Elementary School to check on the location of a student who failed to show up for school. The officer reported the student had stayed home sick, and that he spoke with the student's parents.

6:03 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a vehicle being driven erratically on Great Road at Loomis Street heading west. The caller reported the vehicle was being operated at a high rate of speed and near the curb. The responding officer could not locate the vehicle upon checking the area.

9:53 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Bedford Villiage reporting another resident had not yet returned home and the last time she had spoken to the overdue person was at 9 p.m. when he was at Whole Foods. The responding officer found the individual at the intersection of Springs Road and Page Road and provided him a ride home.
