Police: Missed the Last Bus

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 7

6:27 a.m.- A caller reported a minor car crash in the McDonald's parking lot with no one injuried. The responding officer reported there was minor damage and that the owners were swapping information.

10:22 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from First Parish Unitarian Universalist reporting someone was stuck in the elevator. The Bedford Fire Department reported no one was stuck in the elevator, and that the emergency button had been pressed by accident. 

10:46 a.m.- An officer reported he was enroute to Orchard Road to assist a motorist who was locked out of their car. The officer reported he successfully gained entry to the vehicle.

3:59 p.m.- A resident of Lido Lane reported there was smoke coming from their dryer. Police and fire officials responded and reported the homeowner would contact someone to fix the dryer.

7:55 p.m.- A caller reported she was driving on Springs Road near the Veterans Administration Medical Center when a couple who were walking in the area asked her for a ride. The caller reported she was concerned and did not want to give the couple a ride. The responding officer spoke with the couple, who said they had missed the last bus. The officer transported them to the bus stop at Great Road and South Road.

9:56 p.m.- Police received a report of a blown transformer at Fox Run Road and Springs Road. The responding officer reported a primary wire down on Fox Run Road. The officer blocked off the road and notified NSTAR.

10:28 p.m.- Police received a call from a motorist who was locked out of their car in the Marshalls parking lot. The responding officer was able to unlock the car.
