UPDATE: Bedford Two-Alarm Fire Reportedly Knocked Down
Fire response has reportedly shut down a portion of Carlisle Road.

Social media sources report the Carlisle Road fire has been knocked down and responders are currently involved in overhaul operations.
Scanner-listening Twitter users @IncidentsMass and @NEFirebuff have both reported “extensive overhaul” has started at the scene.

Those dispatches follow earlier reports of a two-alarm residential fire on Carlisle Road. Response to the fire shut down a portion of the road, according to the Bedford Police Department's twitter feed.

According to scanner reports and the Bedford Police Department’s twitter feed, local emergency response personnel are responding to a two alarm fire on Carlisle Road.
According to the BPD twitter feed, Carlisle Road has been closed from North Road to the Carlisle line due to the house fire. Motorists are advised to seek alternate route.
Scanner reports from shortly before 5 p.m. said responders had requested an ALS response for two people rescued from the scene, where there were still heavy fire conditions.
Patch called Bedford Fire Department and was advised to call back in an hour or so. So stay tuned for updates as they’re available.
