UPDATE: Hillside Ave. Remains Closed After Car Strikes Pole

NSTAR has arrived; Hillside Avenue is shut down at Great Road.

 

UPDATE 9:32 a.m.- Hillside Avenue is still closed at Great Road afer a car struck a pole in front of 18 Hillside Ave. at around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to Det. Lt. Scott Jones of the Bedford Police Department.

NSTAR is still on the scene working to restore power.

No one was injured in the crash, according to Jones. 

Original Post-Reports say Hillside Avenue is shut down at Great Road, after a car struck a pole at 18 Hillside Ave. this morning.

NSTAR now is said to be on-scene; Bedford Police and Fire have both been awaiting NSTAR's arrival to turn off the power. A power pole and wires came down on top of the vehicle. 

Emergency Medical Services had been called, but reports say the person refused medical care.
