Middlesex Community College Appoints Vice President

Paula R. Pitcher joins the college as vice president for enrollment management.

Middlesex Community College’s next vice president for enrollment management will be Paula R. Pitcher.

She joins the college having served as assistant dean of institutional research at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, N.J., according to an announcement from MCC.

"All of us at Middlesex are excited about welcoming Dr. Pitcher to our campus,” said MCC President Carole Cowan. “She brings significant experience in the key areas of strategic planning, institutional research and enrollment management from similar community colleges in New Jersey, and we look forward to her future contributions to Middlesex in these critical areas."

Pitcher replaces the recently retired Lois A. Alves at Middlesex CC.

“I am excited to be joining Middlesex Community College,” Pitcher said. “MCC has been providing outstanding programs and services for its students and I am honored to be a part of that. Community college students have a special place in my heart and I look forward to helping them reach their educational and career goals.”

Her experience also includes working as dean of administrative services and planning at Salem Community College in New Jersey and director of institutional research at Southwestern Michigan College.

She also has private-sector experience, working as director of finance and administrative services at Raritan Engineering Co. in Millville, N.J.

Pitcher earned a doctorate in community college management from the University of Maryland University College, a bachelor’s degree from Bethel College and an associate degree from Texas State Technical College.
