What Do You Think About Bedford’s MCAS Scores?

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released the results of its 2013 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) tests that were administrated in the spring.

English – 30% Advanced; 53% Proficient; 14% Needs Improvement; 3% Warning/Failing.

Mathematics – 48% Advanced; 31% Proficient; 14% Needs Improvement; 7% Warning/Failing.

Science & Technology – 27% Advanced; 44% Proficient; 24% Needs Improvement; 5% Warning/Failing.

Grade 3

English – 12% Advanced; 59% Proficient; 27% Needs Improvement; 2% Warning/Failing.

Mathematics – 60% Advanced; 29% Proficient; 9% Needs Improvement; 2% Warning/Failing.
