Bedford Police Log: 2 Warrant Arrests, Suspicious Man Reported

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 2

A driver found a small white dog on Davis Road and brought it into the Police Station. The owner was contacted and came to pick up the dog.

A Lido Lane resident said a suspicious man rang her door bell. She saw the man circle the area in a black pick up truck The man gave her a fictitious address. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s wearing blue and white pandas and a white baseball cap.

A man was spotted taking photos from the parking lot of the McDonald’s on The Great Road. When police investigated he told them he was photographing drug activity at the Bedford Plaza Hotel.

Cars parked to go to a yard sale on Brooksbie Road were parked on the sidewalk on both sides of the road making the road impassable.

A fire broke out in a lab on Crosby Drive. The sprinkler system put out the flames. The Fire Department investigated the incident.

An assault was reported at Bedford Farms Ice Cream. Police could not locate the suspect.

A wallet was found on a bench on the Town Common. It was taken to the Fire Station and the owner was contacted.

 

Aug. 4

Police stopped a car on The Great Road and discovered the driver had a warrant. Michael Bartlett, 23, of Bedford, on a warrant from Lowell District Court and was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Police arrested a Haverhill resident on a warrant. Mildred Torres, 28, of Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant from Haverhill District Court.
