Bedford Police Log: An Aggressive Bicyclist and an Angry Resident
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Sept. 6
At 2:42 p.m., police arrested Douglas MacKinnon, 62, 8-C Ashby Place, Bedford, and charged him on a warrant. Police responded to Ashby Place about a disturbance. Police found a warrant for MacKinnon’s arrest and made the arrest.
At 5:51 p.m., a Concord resident reported an earlier altercation in Bedford. He said he was driving home from the Burlington Mall when his GPS told him to turn onto a dirt roadway on Page Road. He turned onto the roadway and a man reportedly came out of a home and began yelling and swearing at him. The driver said he tried to explain that he didn’t know the area, but the Bedford man was reportedly very angry.
At 6:13 p.m., a Bedford Village resident reported her son may have found his bicycle that was stolen three years ago.

Saturday, Sept. 7
At 6:24 a.m., police received a call from Great Road about an erratic motorist in a pickup. The driver reportedly was not staying in the lane. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 9:15 a.m., a motorist reported a large pothole on Great Road near Shawsheen Cemetery. The caller said the car in front of him broke an axle and received a flat tire because of the hole. Police notified the DPW.

At 11:37 a.m., police received a call from someone who found a wallet on North Road. Police notified a Westford man to pick up his wallet.
At 3:22 p.m., police received a call from Concord Road about an aggressive bicyclist. The caller said he opened his car door when the bicyclist yelled and spat at him.
Sunday, Sept. 8
At 2:29 p.m., a Maxwell Road resident reported a suspicious person in his yard. An officer spoke to the “suspicious” person who worked for National Grid and was marking gas lines because a nearby home was being demolished.
At 5:29 p.m., a Curve Street resident called police about a bicycle missing from a porch.
