Bedford Police Log: Coyotes, a Groundhog and Foul-Mouthed Youths

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

At 5:30 p.m., a Glenridge Drive resident reported a missing dog. The dog is about 14-15 years old and is small, blond and wearing a pink or red collar with tags.

At 6:41 p.m., a Roberts Drive resident reported vandalism to his motor vehicle. Police took a report.

At 9:56 p.m., police responded to the TD Bank ATM on Great Road about a possible attempted burglary. Police found no problem. The ATM was secure.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

At 8:22 a.m., a Page Road resident reported a groundhog stuck in a trap near a garage. The animal had been stuck since 5 p.m. the previous day and was likely living under the garage. An officer let the groundhog out of the cage.

At 9:42 a.m., a Richard Road resident called police about a pack of coyotes on the path between Richard Road and Evans Avenue. Police responded, but did not find the pack.

At 4:16 p.m., police responded to North Road where a bicyclist was hit by a car. The patient refused to be transported to a hospital.

Thursday, Sept. 19

At 4:51 p.m., a driver reported a hit-and-run accident on Burlington Road. Police took a report.

At 4:55 pm., police responded to Mudge Way after a report of juveniles not following the rules at the skate park. An officer spoke to the youths and asked them not to use foul language.
